The 42' Jefferson is equipped with twin Cummins 300 hp "300B series" diesel motors which have been routinely maintained by a professional and treat fuel as a valuable resource. You have the ability to power-up and attain suitable speeds here, but sip fuel at cruise. The book says 16 gph total burn at 16 kts. Engines are synchronized by a Glendenning engine synchronizer system.
The Westerbeke generator shows 2470 original hours.
The engine hours are 2800 with the starboard engine having 800 hours since a major overhaul.
Deck
Regular attention to detail has paid off!! The original gelcoat on this vessel shines, with all decking appearing bright and as new. The walkways are wide from the foredeck to the wing doors which lead to the aft salon/sun deck. No shuffling sideways here! A 600 lb. electric davit system launches the dingy from the upper aft deck. The bow pulpit features a Fortress anchor with 150'chain/175' nylon and a recently changed 12V Windlass. A second plow anchor is also provided.
The upper helm station features a clear view for docking has ample seating and also has a fridge/freezer for more cold storage.

This vessel features luxury sleeping accommodations for six provided by the center queen aft, queen berth in the private guest stateroom and a double pull-out sleeper sofa in the salon. Recent mattresse change in both the master & guest staterooms! Climate control is supplied by a MarineAir reverse cycle system which cools/heats the salon, aft stateroom and guest stateroom utilizing digital controls. Plenty of storage space in both the master stateroom as well as guest quarters featuring deep closets.
